Principal Security Architect

Job Summary

Leading a small team in a full-time capacity, the Principal Security Architect will manage customer security projects and establish managed security offerings while delivering architecture and strategy across Azure, Microsoft 365, and hybrid environments remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead security assessments, architecture workshops, and roadmap discussions to define business goals and success criteria
• Architect cloud and hybrid Zero Trust solutions, integrating identity, access, and security operations across various platforms
• Guide the Security Solutions Group through technical direction, coaching, and project accountability while overseeing service delivery and operational transitions

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years in cybersecurity, infrastructure, identity, or cloud engineering, with 5+ years in Microsoft security solutions architecture
• Proven leadership in managing complex security architecture projects from assessment to operational transition
• Deep expertise in identity and access management, Azure/hybrid security, and Microsoft 365 security
• Strong knowledge of security operations, including Sentinel/Defender integration and incident workflows
• Ability to create architecture documents and executive presentations, demonstrating project scope control and measurable outcomes
