Job Summary
As a remote Principal Security Engineer, the successful candidate will set the technical vision for security protocols, collaborate with engineering on DevSecOps strategies, and address complex security challenges while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
Key responsibilities:
- Define and implement the security stack, including cloud and identity security strategies across AWS and Microsoft Azure
- Lead security architecture reviews and threat modeling for connected services, ensuring alignment with business strategies
- Serve as a senior technical escalation point for high-stakes security events and mentor the security engineering team
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
- 10+ years of experience in security engineering roles, with at least 5 years in the healthcare industry
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or AWS Certified Security - Specialty
- Deep expertise in cloud and identity security architecture, particularly with AWS and Microsoft Azure
- Hands-on experience with secure SDLC, threat modeling, and securing healthcare APIs
