Principal Site Reliability Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a Principal Site Reliability Engineer to work remotely in a full-time capacity, responsible for ensuring the stability, scalability, and reliability of production systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams to manage core infrastructure and drive service improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the availability and durability of critical services across production environments and drive projects from problem discovery through resolution
- Design automation for operational tasks and define monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks to enhance system reliability
- Collaborate with engineering and customer success teams to support resilient system design and document systems to foster a reliability-minded culture
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years of experience in site reliability, systems engineering, or operations, with a preference for experience with hyperscalers
- Solid Linux systems administration and troubleshooting skills
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, Bash, or Go) and experience with containers (Kubernetes, Docker)
- Knowledge of storage systems and experience with load balancing services
