Principal Software Architect
Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Principal Software Architect will define technical direction, design scalable SaaS platform architecture, and actively participate in software development while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities
- Define the long-term architecture vision for web applications and lead technology evaluations and architecture decisions
- Create and implement API, integration, reporting, and security architecture, while establishing development standards
- Design and develop production software across the application stack, ensuring high code quality and security compliance
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- 5+ years of software engineering experience and 5+ years of architecture or technical leadership experience
- Experience leading SaaS platform development and using AI-assisted coding tools
- Proficiency in modern frameworks and technologies such as React, Java/Spring Boot, and cloud platforms like AWS and Azure
- Strong understanding of secure coding principles and digital accessibility standards
