Principal Software Engineer
Job Summary
Leading the development and architecture of scalable distributed systems, the full-time Principal Software Engineer will optimize code for high throughput workloads, design fault-tolerant systems, and ensure operational readiness while working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities
- Utilize standard software development practices for scoping, architecture, and testing of features
- Communicate project status, risks, and mitigation strategies to ensure on-time delivery
- Proactively diagnose and resolve production issues while mentoring peers
Required qualifications
- 6 to 10+ years of experience in software development
- Proficiency in C/C++ and scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Bash
- Hands-on experience with multi-threaded embedded Linux applications
- Familiarity with network or storage stacks and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, NVMe)
- Experience with Linux Kernel/Driver programming and CI/CD environments
