Principal Software Engineer
Job Summary
Leading integration projects on a remote full-time basis, the Principal Software Engineer will own multiple integration domains, make architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and drive the development of microservice-based solutions within a cutting-edge cybersecurity platform.
Key responsibilities
- Own integration domains end-to-end, including roadmap, architecture decisions, and delivery
- Make architectural calls regarding system boundaries, API contracts, and reliability targets
- Serve as a technical mentor through design reviews and code reviews, promoting engineering rigor across the team
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of backend software development experience, with 3+ years in a Staff-level or tech lead role
- Proficiency in Python, Go, or Java, with a strong foundation in microservices
- Deep experience with API design and integration, including secure API patterns
- Demonstrated ability to use AI tools to enhance engineering workflows effectively
