Principal Software Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Principal Software Engineer for a fully remote position in the US, who will lead the design and development of high-performance Node.js applications while mentoring a team and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Key responsibilities:
- Design and architect scalable, robust Node-based applications that meet performance and reliability requirements
- Lead architecture discussions and support product management in planning and performance evaluation of software products
- Write detailed technical user epics and stories, ensuring clear communication of requirements and facilitating backlog management
Required qualifications:
- 8-10+ years of industry experience in data engineering and product management
- Expert-level experience with Node.js for backend application development and architecture
- Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in a business or technical field
- Experience with databases, particularly Mongo Atlas, and developing/consuming REST APIs
- Familiarity with cloud-native technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices architecture
