Principal Software Engineer
Job Summary
Driving the technical direction and architecture of microservices, the full-time hybrid Principal Software Engineer will design and implement features using Java and JavaScript, ensuring product quality and leading a team within a cloud-based SaaS environment.
Key responsibilities
- Drive the technical direction and architecture of microservices to support scalability and performance
- Design and implement new features in a cloud-based SaaS environment using Java and JavaScript, including React
- Lead a team of software engineers in the design, development, and maintenance of shared services and a centralized reporting framework
Required qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field + 60 months of relevant experience; or Bachelor's degree + 84 months of experience
- Proficiency in Amazon Web Services (AWS) including CloudFormation, ECS, RDS, S3, EC2, and Lambda
- Advanced JavaScript skills with experience in Java, React, RESTful API design, and microservices architecture
- Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD tools such as Maven and Jenkins
- Experience with Agile methodologies and full-stack software development in a SaaS environment
