Principal Software Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a Principal Software Engineer for a full-time remote position, this role focuses on designing and developing real-time internet-scale data processing systems, managing software and infrastructure across cloud and on-prem environments, and providing technical leadership within the organization.
Key responsibilities
- Design and develop foundational systems for real-time data processing and management
- Create a platform for managing software and infrastructure across cloud and on-prem systems
- Develop and maintain observability tooling, including logging, metrics, and alerting
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in software/hardware/systems engineering or technical operations leadership
- Experience in designing, building, and operating large-scale orchestration systems
- Familiarity with major internet protocols and standards (DNS, Whois, RDAP, etc.)
- Strong understanding of architectural trade-offs at various scales
- Proven ability to collaborate across organizational boundaries to solve complex problems
