Principal Software Engineer
Job Summary
To support the expansion of its data business, the full-time Principal Software Engineer will lead the technical direction and delivery of data products, from architecture design to production implementation, while working remotely in the United States.
Key responsibilities:
- Define the architecture and implementation approach for Fetch's off-platform data business, leading projects from problem definition to production delivery
- Design, implement, and maintain services, APIs, and workflows behind data products while ensuring scalability and reliability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to clarify requirements and translate feedback into engineering decisions, ensuring alignment with partner needs
Required qualifications:
- 15+ years of software engineering experience, with a focus on technical strategy and architectural decisions
- Proven track record of owning data-intensive products from prototype to production launch
- Experience building production software, particularly in advertising platforms or related data products
- Strong fundamentals in system design, backend development, and production operations
- Demonstrated technical leadership in complex initiatives involving multiple teams
