Principal Software Engineer
Job Summary
To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time Principal Software Engineer will administer and enhance the Edifecs platform, ensuring reliable EDI transaction processing while working remotely.
Key responsibilities:
- Administer, configure, troubleshoot, and enhance the Edifecs platform for EDI transaction processing
- Build, deploy, and optimize Edifecs processing rules, routing logic, and batch workflows
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve mapping issues and support system deployments
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience
- 8+ years of experience in EDI, healthcare, or enterprise application operations
- Strong knowledge of EDIFECS architecture and transaction lifecycles
- Experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud environments
- EDIFECS certification is preferred
