Job Summary
Seeking a Principal Software Engineer in a full-time remote role, the candidate will manage infrastructure automation, configuration management, and CI/CD pipelines, ensuring operational excellence across multi-cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Scale and maintain enterprise Chef cookbooks and automate provisioning across bare metal and virtual machine infrastructures
- Optimize Jenkins automation pipelines for continuous integration and deployment of infrastructure code, integrating security and testing workflows
- Lead pull request review processes, establish engineering governance, and mentor engineers on infrastructure-as-code principles
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of hands-on experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management tools like Chef
- 8+ years of experience managing bare metal and enterprise virtualized infrastructure
- 8+ years of experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, preferably with Jenkins
- 8+ years of experience establishing Git workflows and conducting thorough pull request code reviews
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
