Job Summary
Leading the technical direction of an early-stage AI company, the full-time remote Principal Software Engineer will architect production services, mentor a team of developers, and design data models while collaborating closely with the CTO.
Key responsibilities
- Set the platform's architecture and make build-versus-buy decisions in partnership with the CTO
- Enhance the team's engineering capabilities by mentoring developers and conducting code and design reviews
- Architect production Python services and build GCP infrastructure across various cloud services
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, including roles as a tech lead or principal/staff engineer
- Hands-on experience with production LLM applications in Python using LangChain or LangGraph
- Proficiency in GCP, BigQuery, and Postgres, with a strong focus on security
- A proven track record of team building and developing infrastructure without dedicated platform or security functions
- Experience in finance, private equity, or consulting is a plus
