Principal Software Engineer, DevOps
Job Summary
To support a highly scalable AWS/Kubernetes-based cloud platform, the full-time Principal Software Engineer, DevOps will build tools and infrastructure, develop automation using Terraform and Golang, and manage production alerts while participating in an on-call rotation remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Support Legion's public cloud platform and develop infrastructure automation
- Create and manage production alerts, responding to incidents and conducting root-cause investigations
- Build and operate internal AI agents to reduce SRE toil and enhance operational efficiency
Required qualifications
- 12+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or SaaS operations
- 3+ years of hands-on experience managing AWS services and cloud infrastructure using Terraform
- 3+ years of experience with containerized solutions using Docker and Kubernetes
- 5+ years of experience with programming languages such as Go, Python, or Bash
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
