Job Summary
Driving innovation in high-speed interconnect technology, the remote Principal Structural Analysis Engineer will lead structural mechanics and thermal-mechanical modeling efforts, utilizing finite element analysis to evaluate and optimize product designs while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the development and application of first-principles engineering analysis and FEA modeling to evaluate solution concepts
- Execute high-fidelity non-linear structural and thermal-mechanical simulations to assess product performance and reliability
- Collaborate with design engineers to define simulation parameters and ensure effective model verification and validation processes
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Materials Science, or related field; Master's or Ph.D. preferred
- 8-10+ years of experience in high-fidelity FEA and structural/thermal-mechanical analysis
- Expertise in commercial FEA platforms, particularly Ansys Mechanical, with a focus on non-linear materials and thermal-stress coupling
- Strong experience in test correlation and model calibration techniques
- Familiarity with 3D CAD platforms and cloud/HPC simulation environments is a plus
