Principal System Operations Manager
Job Summary
As a strategic and operational leader, the full-time remote Principal System Operations Manager will oversee the performance and availability of systems supporting the Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS), ensuring seamless operations and governance over system changes and incidents.
Key responsibilities
- Own end-to-end system availability, performance monitoring, and operational continuity
- Lead the design and continuous improvement of ITSM processes, leveraging the ITIL4 framework
- Act as the primary systems liaison to client leaders, participating in governance and planning meetings
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (Master's or PMP preferred)
- 10+ years in IT systems engineering, operations, or infrastructure leadership, preferably in Medicare MIS or healthcare platforms
- 5+ years in technical and service delivery leadership roles
- Deep expertise in ITIL4, ITSM, and technical project execution within complex, regulated environments
- Knowledge of HIPAA, SOC, and enterprise compliance frameworks
