Principal Test Automation Engineer
Job Summary
Setting the technical direction for AI-enabled workflow automation, the full-time Principal Test Automation Engineer will develop foundational tools and methodologies for software testing and release processes in a hybrid work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement AI-enabled workflow automation across build, CI, testing, and release processes
- Build shared foundations, including agent harnesses and integrations with GitLab and Jira
- Develop evaluation methodologies to measure the effectiveness of automation in preserving correctness and saving time
Required Qualifications
- Extensive production software engineering experience with strong Python skills
- Familiarity with Rust and/or C++ for understanding build flows and diagnosing compiler errors
- Experience shipping AI-enabled tools or automation relied upon in production environments
- Deep hands-on experience with LLM APIs, agent harnesses, and tool integration
- Strong fluency across the development lifecycle, including CI/CD, testing, and release processes
