Principal UI Engineer
Job Summary
Experienced in building scalable web platforms, the full-time Principal UI Engineer will manage platform architecture, enhance collaborative systems, and develop AI-augmented developer tooling while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Own the architecture, scalability, and uptime of real-time collaboration servers and APIs
- Design and evolve multi-user editing systems to ensure data integrity and reliability
- Architect and maintain interfaces for AI coding agents and oversee performance optimization efforts
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in designing, building, and operating production-scale web platforms
- Advanced mastery of TypeScript, JavaScript, React, and server-side runtimes
- Hands-on experience with real-time data models and collaborative editing technologies
- Strong foundations in SQL and relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL
- Experience running production services with a focus on metrics, alerting, and logging
