Prior Authorization Specialist

Job Summary

To support a seamless patient experience, the remote Prior Authorization Specialist will manage pre-registration, verify insurance information, and provide financial counseling while collaborating with clinical teams and revenue cycle departments.

Key responsibilities

• Perform real-time registration and pre-registration for patient visits
• Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information accurately
• Collaborate with revenue cycle departments to ensure efficient patient encounters

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
• 3+ years of experience in customer service and/or revenue cycle operations
• Prior experience using Change Healthcare products preferred
• Strong understanding of hospital registration processes and insurance requirements
• Proficiency in data entry and keyboarding
