Privacy Compliance Engineer

Job Summary

To ensure data privacy and compliance, the full-time remote Privacy Compliance Engineer will review technical designs, assess existing controls against regulations like CCPA and GDPR, and build internal tools to support compliance efforts.

Key responsibilities

• Reviewing technical designs for privacy risk across various data types
• Assessing existing controls for compliance with CCPA, GDPR, and internal privacy policies
• Building and maintaining internal tooling that automates and supports the compliance program

Required qualifications

• Experienced developer with a genuine interest in privacy protection
• Understanding of encryption, hashing, and salting, and their importance for privacy guarantees
• Working knowledge of AI and machine learning systems in relation to personal data
• Ability to read and write code, and build internal tooling from the ground up
• Experience with large-scale data infrastructure on either the engineering or privacy side
