Job Summary

A company is looking for a Privacy Counsel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess privacy and security risks for products and processes, design mitigative measures
  • Develop and implement privacy infrastructure, policies, and procedures
  • Manage privacy compliance functions, oversee data security incidents, and coordinate incident responses

Required Qualifications:
  • J.D. degree with membership in at least one US state bar
  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a privacy lawyer with knowledge of global privacy laws
  • Understanding of tech environment and ability to converse with software engineers about data processing
  • Experience managing data security incidents and negotiating complex privacy contracts
  • Strong organization, project management skills, and ability to work on long and short-term projects
