Job Summary
A company is looking for a Privacy Counsel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess privacy and security risks for products and processes, design mitigative measures
- Develop and implement privacy infrastructure, policies, and procedures
- Manage privacy compliance functions, oversee data security incidents, and coordinate incident responses
Required Qualifications:
- J.D. degree with membership in at least one US state bar
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a privacy lawyer with knowledge of global privacy laws
- Understanding of tech environment and ability to converse with software engineers about data processing
- Experience managing data security incidents and negotiating complex privacy contracts
- Strong organization, project management skills, and ability to work on long and short-term projects
