Privacy Counsel II

Job Summary

Focused on privacy issues, the full-time remote Privacy Counsel II will manage complex privacy matters, develop training resources, and provide strategic legal advice while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Counsel on privacy assessments and product-related matters, evaluating business implications
• Develop training materials and playbooks to ensure teams have current privacy guidance
• Monitor and advise on privacy laws and regulatory developments, leading policy updates and compliance initiatives

Required qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) with admission to a state bar and 8+ years of relevant in-house or law firm experience in data privacy
• Comprehensive understanding of data privacy statutes and regulations, including CCPA and TCPA
• Experience advising on direct-to-consumer product and marketing initiatives from a data privacy perspective
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally on compliance matters and influence diverse stakeholders
• Experience drafting and negotiating data protection agreements and provisions
