Job Summary
To support the GM Financial Privacy Office, the full-time remote Privacy Engineer will manage the implementation of privacy protocols, collaborate with various stakeholders, and develop privacy controls and features to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal teams to implement privacy best practices in projects and decisions
- Serve as a subject matter expert on privacy engineering and communicate solutions to non-technical stakeholders
- Manage multiple privacy projects simultaneously and conduct operational deep dives on privacy-related processes
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Privacy, Information Systems, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in privacy and technology matters, including privacy engineering and digital marketing compliance
- Familiarity with global privacy laws and regulations such as CCPA/CPRA and LGPD
- Strong technical background, including the ability to read code and write scripts (Python)
- Experience with privacy-related technology solutions and consent management workflows
