Privacy Investigations Counsel

Job Summary

To support a leading global technology company, the full-time contract Privacy Investigations Counsel will provide legal guidance on privacy and data security incidents, advising on regulatory obligations and incident response strategies while working remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise on legal obligations arising from privacy and data security incidents, including user and regulatory notification requirements
• Provide strategic legal guidance throughout the lifecycle of privacy investigations and incident response efforts
• Counsel cross-functional teams on incident mitigation, remediation, and legal risk management

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) and active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar
• 4+ years of legal experience focused on data privacy, cybersecurity, regulatory investigations, or incident response
• Significant experience advising on global privacy laws and data breach notification requirements, including GDPR
• Experience managing complex regulatory investigations and incident response matters
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical engineers, security professionals, and business stakeholders
