Process Controls Engineer
Job Summary
Leading the development of innovative chemical refining processes, the full-time remote Sr. Process Controls Engineer will manage equipment and plant-wide controls infrastructure while supporting the buildout of an in-house engineering team.
Key responsibilities
- Develop standards for controls programming and manage equipment scopes from concept through to commissioning
- Drive cross-functional teams to scale up technical equipment and de-risk novel mineral refining processes
- Support the hiring and mentorship of junior process engineers while preparing bankable engineering deliverables for project financing
Required qualifications
- Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals with experience in equipment engineering and design
- Background in industrial manufacturing, large-scale mining, or chemical production processes
- Experience leading engineers and technicians in project management for capital projects over $5M
- Proven ability to develop technoeconomic models for project opportunities and new technologies
- Familiarity with process engineering and project management software tools
