Product and Regulatory Counsel
Job Summary
Seeking a strategic and experienced Product and Regulatory Counsel, the full-time remote position will provide legal guidance on technology-related matters, particularly focusing on artificial intelligence and regulatory compliance while collaborating with product and engineering teams.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice on technology matters, including AI, software development, and data privacy
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure compliance with privacy and AI safety standards
- Monitor and interpret emerging technology laws and regulations, particularly those related to AI and data privacy
Required qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active membership in at least one state bar
- 10+ years of relevant legal experience, preferably in-house with a focus on product counseling and regulatory compliance
- Expertise in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and global data protection laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA)
- Ability to translate complex legal risks into actionable business advice
- Experience building or scaling an AI governance framework is a plus
