Product Compliance Manager
Job Summary
To support Square's compliance program, the full-time Product Compliance Manager will drive compliance initiatives for Square's Core and Audiences product suites, collaborating with Product, Engineering, Design, and Legal teams to ensure regulatory adherence and effective risk management.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the embedded compliance advisor for product teams, providing proactive guidance on new products and features
- Lead product compliance reviews, identifying requirements and closing gaps in existing controls
- Own and maintain the compliance risk and control inventory, conducting ongoing risk assessments and evaluations
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in compliance within the payments or commerce platform sectors
- Strong regulatory knowledge in AML/BSA, Payment Card rules, and Consumer Protection
- Experience as an embedded compliance partner in agile environments
- Proven ability to translate legal requirements into actionable compliance controls
- Familiarity with core compliance program activities, including risk assessments and regulatory exam support
