Job Summary
To support the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services' enterprise AI platform, the full-time remote Product Designer will own the UX and UI design process from concept to high-fidelity designs, create interactive prototypes, and build a scalable design system while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities
- Design and deliver intuitive, high-fidelity UI/UX for CMS's AI products in Figma
- Quickly iterate from sketches to interactive prototypes to visualize solutions for stakeholders
- Conduct lightweight research to inform design decisions and enhance user experience
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in UX/product design with hands-on research experience
- Strong portfolio showcasing visual and interaction design of shipped products
- Deep proficiency in Figma for high-fidelity design and design system maintenance
- Solid understanding of UX fundamentals, including information architecture and usability principles
- Familiarity with accessibility standards such as Section 508 and WCAG
