Product Designer
Job Summary
Seeking a part-time contract Product Designer, the successful candidate will shape Spate's core product dashboard by turning complex trend data into clear, actionable insights while collaborating remotely with the Frontend & UX team for approximately 20 hours a week.
Key responsibilities
- Own the product design process from initial concept to launch, collaborating closely with the frontend lead
- Identify user pain points through customer feedback and usage data, proposing solutions that address these issues
- Manage the design system, ensuring alignment between Figma and the React component library for consistent UI delivery
Required qualifications
- 2+ years of product design experience with shipped work in a real product
- Strong product opinions and the ability to defend and revise design ideas
- A portfolio demonstrating problem framing and design solutions, including at least one case study starting from a fuzzy problem
- Experience with data-heavy products such as dashboards or reporting tools
- Proficiency in Figma and familiarity with AI tools in the design workflow
