Job Summary
Serving as the subject matter expert in cap design for the CCL Tube Division, the part-time Product Development Engineer will oversee design activities, ensure product compliance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams while working remotely and traveling as needed.
Key responsibilities
- Provide oversight and support for cap design activities, ensuring manufacturability and compliance with customer requirements
- Review and evaluate 3D CAD models and engineering drawings for accuracy and adherence to design standards
- Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related engineering discipline
- 10+ years of experience in product development, preferably in the cosmetics, beauty, or consumer packaging industry
- Strong knowledge of cosmetic and beauty packaging components, particularly in cap and closure design
- Proficiency in CAD software and engineering drawing interpretation
- Experience with injection-molded plastic components and closure systems
