Job Summary

Leading the engineering efforts for Keet, the full-time Product Engineering Lead will manage the API and frontend teams to deliver high-quality features for a peer-to-peer messaging and video calling app, collaborating closely with product managers and ensuring robust engineering standards in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Run the day-to-day operations of the API and frontend teams, ensuring timely delivery and high performance
• Collaborate with product managers to translate vision and roadmap into actionable engineering tasks
• Mentor team leads and create clarity around team goals, fostering strong operational practices and leadership growth

Required qualifications

• Experience managing engineers or engineering leads in consumer product development, particularly in chat or social apps
• Strong product sense with the ability to differentiate between valuable and unnecessary features
• Intuition for distributed and local-first systems, with familiarity in offline-first and eventual consistency principles
• Proficiency in JavaScript and React
• Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, and resilience, along with the ability to engage in direct critique
