Product Engineering Lead

Job Summary

Leading engineering teams in a fully remote capacity, the Product Engineering Lead will manage the API and frontend teams to deliver features for Keet, a peer-to-peer messaging and video calling app, while partnering with product managers to align technical execution with product vision.

Key responsibilities

• Run day-to-day operations for the API and frontend teams, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality standards
• Collaborate with product managers to translate vision and roadmap into actionable engineering tasks
• Mentor team leads and foster strong team dynamics to enhance collaboration and leadership growth

Required qualifications

• Experience managing engineering teams that deliver consumer products, preferably in chat or social applications
• Strong product sense with the ability to distinguish valuable features from unnecessary ones
• Intuition for distributed and local-first systems, with a focus on offline capabilities and eventual consistency
• Proficiency in JavaScript and React
• Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, and resilience in a fast-paced environment
