Product Engineering Lead

Job Summary

The full-time remote Product Engineering Lead will manage the API and frontend teams to develop features for the Keet app, ensuring high engineering standards while collaborating closely with product managers to translate vision into actionable plans.

Key responsibilities

• Run day-to-day operations of the API and frontend teams, facilitating unblocking and code reviews
• Set and maintain high standards for performance, reliability, and clean API design
• Collaborate with product managers to convert the product roadmap into scoped, buildable tasks

Required qualifications

• Experience managing engineers or leads in consumer product development, particularly in chat or social applications
• Strong product sense to differentiate between valuable and unnecessary features
• Intuition for distributed and local-first systems, with familiarity in offline-first and eventual consistency concepts
• Proficiency in JavaScript and React
• Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, and resilience, along with the ability to provide and accept direct feedback
