Product Engineering Lead

Job Summary

Leading the engineering teams for Keet, the full-time Product Engineering Lead will manage the API and frontend teams, ensuring high performance and reliability while collaborating closely with product managers to translate vision into actionable features in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Run day-to-day operations for the API and frontend teams, focusing on unblocking, reviewing, and maintaining shipping schedules
• Set and uphold a high engineering standard for performance, reliability, and API cleanliness
• Collaborate with product managers to convert the product vision and roadmap into scoped, buildable work while providing engineering insights on product decisions

Required qualifications

• Experience managing engineers or engineering leads in consumer product development, particularly in chat, calling, or social applications
• Strong product sense with the ability to differentiate impactful features from unnecessary ones
• Intuition for distributed and local-first systems, with familiarity in offline-first and eventual consistency concepts
• Proficiency in JavaScript and React
• Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, resilience, and capacity for constructive critique
