Product Owner, P&C Underwriting
Job Summary
To shape the future of P&C policy administration and commercial underwriting, the full-time remote Product Owner, P&C Underwriting will own the backlog and roadmap for policy lifecycle management and commercial underwriting, focusing on AI-assisted decision-making and risk evaluation.
Key responsibilities
- Own and prioritize the roadmap and backlog for submission, quoting, issuance, endorsement, and underwriting risk evaluation
- Define AI use cases and guide the design of underwriting capabilities that assist underwriters with risk selection and decision support
- Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to translate underwriting workflows into scalable platform capabilities
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in Product Ownership, Business Analysis, or Functional Leadership within P&C insurance technology
- Hands-on experience at a P&C carrier or insurance software vendor
- Strong understanding of commercial underwriting processes, including risk evaluation and policy issuance
- Experience managing or mentoring a Product Owner or Business Analyst
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, Technology, or a related field preferred
