Job Summary
To support the establishment of a Product Owner practice, the contract Product Owner Practice Lead will work full-time remotely to define the role, coach new Product Owners, implement objective-driven planning, and lead by example on live product backlogs across various platforms.
Key responsibilities
- Define the Product Owner role, including creating a charter and establishing decision rights
- Train Product and Engineering teams on effective collaboration with Product Owners and implement objective-driven planning
- Manage and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring readiness for sprints and aligning team efforts with business objectives
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of experience as a hands-on Product Owner with multiple Scrum and Kanban teams
- Proven track record of establishing or revitalizing a Product Owner practice, including role definition and coaching
- Strong expertise in value-based prioritization and maintaining backlog readiness
- Deep experience with Agile methodologies, including quarterly planning across teams
- Proficient in Jira for backlog management and planning processes
