Product Security Engineer
Job Summary
To support and scale product and cloud security efforts, the full-time remote Product Security Engineer will embed security into engineering workflows, conduct architecture reviews, and improve security tooling while providing mentorship and guidance to engineering teams.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with product and engineering teams on architecture reviews, threat modeling, and secure design, translating security risks into practical recommendations
- Evaluate and implement AI-assisted security workflows to enhance coverage and streamline reviews and remediation processes
- Drive vulnerability management from triage through resolution, coordinating penetration testing engagements and documenting risk acceptance
Required qualifications
- 5-7 years of experience in product security, cloud security engineering, or software development
- Practical experience with AI workflows for security reviews and a strong understanding of AI-assisted development risks
- Strong knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and security best practices
- Hands-on experience with penetration testing coordination and threat modeling
- Proficiency in Python and cloud-native programming for security automation and compliance controls
