Product Security Engineer

Job Summary

To enhance product security, the full-time remote Product Security Engineer will partner closely with engineering teams, build secure defaults and tooling, and lead cross-functional projects while ensuring measurable security outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Partner closely with engineering to refine architecture and validate new features while driving security investment
• Build security paved roads to systematically eliminate classes of vulnerabilities
• Own projects end to end, influencing product and engineering roadmaps and communicating risks to stakeholders

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in product security, application security, or secure software development
• Proficiency in reviewing code, automating tasks, and building security tooling in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, Go, Ruby, Java)
• Hands-on experience with application security practices such as threat modeling and secure code review
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects and influence cross-functional partners across engineering and product
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience
