Product Security Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a remote Product Security Engineer who will partner closely with engineering to refine architecture and validate new features, build secure defaults to eliminate vulnerabilities, and lead cross-functional security projects from scoping through delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner closely with engineering to drive security investment while prioritizing engineering velocity
• Build security paved roads by contributing to secure defaults and libraries that eradicate classes of vulnerabilities
• Own projects end to end, influencing product and engineering roadmaps while communicating risks to stakeholders

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in product security, application security, or secure software development
• Ability to review code and automate tasks in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, Go, Ruby, Java)
• Hands-on experience with core application security practices and a solid grasp of common vulnerability classes (e.g., OWASP Top 10)
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects and influence cross-functional partners across engineering and product
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or relevant field, or equivalent practical experience
