Production Bioinformatics Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a remote full-time Production Bioinformatics Engineer, this role will engineer tools and workflows to analyze clinical genomic data, automate bioinformatics processes, and improve the reliability of production systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities:

• Engineer and develop tools for analyzing and visualizing clinical genomic data
• Automate complex laboratory workflows and troubleshoot issues in bioinformatics systems
• Collaborate with bioinformatics R&D and clinical lab analysts to enhance data quality and operational efficiency

Required qualifications:

• Master's degree with 3+ years of experience in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or Engineering, OR Ph.D., OR Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience
• Experience with bioinformatics algorithms and their application to genomic data analysis
• Familiarity with scalable bioinformatics infrastructure and workflow orchestration tools
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for clinical genomics applications
• Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Python or JavaScript
