Production Support Engineer
Job Summary
To provide high-level operational support for complex application cloud systems, the full-time remote Production Support Engineer will manage system outages, develop solutions to technical problems, and ensure compliance with security policies while collaborating with users and senior management.
Key responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day operational support and maintenance of production systems
- Detect, document, and resolve system outages, while developing workarounds as necessary
- Communicate effectively with users and management regarding system statuses and issues
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or a related field, particularly in production environments
- Strong proficiency in AWS and/or Azure Cloud services, including S3 and CloudWatch
- Experience with Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems, along with system administration tasks
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation
