Production Support Engineer
Job Summary
To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time Production Support Engineer will perform high-level operational support of complex application cloud systems, develop solutions to technical problems, and maintain system compliance while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day operational support and maintenance of cloud systems, ensuring system stability and reliability
- Detect, document, and resolve system outages or problems, including collecting diagnostic data and developing workarounds
- Communicate with users and management regarding the status of issues, providing documentation and training as needed
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or a related field, particularly in production environments
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure Cloud services, including S3, CloudWatch, and automation tools
- Strong proficiency in Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems, along with scripting languages like Python or Bash
- Must possess or qualify for a Public Trust (MBI) security clearance
