Production Support Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a talented Production Support Engineer, the full-time remote position will manage high-level operational support for complex application cloud systems, develop solutions for technical problems, and ensure compliance with VA standards and security policies.
Key responsibilities:
- Perform day-to-day operational support and maintenance of cloud systems
- Detect, isolate, and resolve system outages while documenting issues accurately
- Communicate with users and senior management regarding problem statuses and provide training as needed
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or a related field, particularly in production environments
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure Cloud, including S3, CloudWatch, and automation tools
- Strong proficiency in Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems, along with system administration tasks
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation
