Production Support Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a full-time remote Production Support Engineer, the successful candidate will manage day-to-day operational support of complex cloud application systems, develop solutions to technical problems, and ensure compliance with VA standards and security policies.
Key responsibilities:
- Perform high-level operational support and maintenance of cloud systems, including troubleshooting and resolving outages
- Document issues and communicate status updates to users and management while adhering to standard practices
- Implement continuous improvement methodologies and maintain inventory of system assets
Required qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or related fields, particularly in production environments
- Proficiency with AWS and/or Azure Cloud services, including S3 and CloudWatch
- Strong skills in Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems, along with system administration experience
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field
