Production Support Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a full-time remote Production Support Engineer, the role focuses on providing operational support for complex application cloud systems, troubleshooting system issues, and ensuring compliance with security policies while collaborating with customers and cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities
- Perform high-level operational support and maintenance of cloud systems, detecting and resolving outages
- Document problems accurately and communicate status updates to users and management
- Implement continuous improvement methodologies and ensure compliance with VA standards and security policies
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or a related field, particularly in production environments
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure Cloud, including S3 and CloudWatch
- Strong proficiency in Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation
