Professional Billing Specialist
Job Summary
To support revenue integrity, the full-time Professional Billing Specialist will manage claim submissions, follow up on billing queues, and ensure compliance with insurance regulations while working remotely from AR, KS, MO, OK, or TX.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and submit professional claims, correcting routine errors and rejections
- Work assigned billing and follow-up queues in Epic to ensure timely processing
- Apply knowledge of CPT, ICD 10 CM, modifiers, and payer rules to meet productivity and quality standards
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- At least 1 year of medical insurance experience for Level 1; at least 3 years for Level 2
- CPB certification required within 1 year of hire for Level 2 candidates
