Job Summary
As a Protection & Control Engineer III, this full-time remote position will design high-voltage substation protection and control systems, mentor junior engineers, and ensure compliance with quality standards while collaborating with clients and multidisciplinary teams on complex utility projects.
Key responsibilities
- Design substation protection and control systems, including one-line and three-line diagrams, and relay protection schemes
- Develop equipment specifications and cost estimates for engineered equipment procurement
- Participate in client meetings and site visits to present engineering solutions and resolve technical issues
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution
- 4-7 years of experience in Substation Protection & Control design engineering
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience mentoring junior engineers and designers
