Program Lead
Job Summary
Leading the delivery of the Department of Veterans Affairs Supply Chain Management DevSecOps program, the full-time Overarching Program Lead will manage functional teams, oversee product line deliverables, and drive Agile planning while operating in a hybrid environment based in Rockville, Maryland.
Key responsibilities
- Direct and manage functional leads and sub-teams, serving as the main contact for VA leadership
- Ensure timely delivery of product line deliverables and coordinate technical work with external partners
- Maintain the strategic roadmap and program backlog, leading quarterly Agile planning events to organize capacity and resolve dependencies
Required qualifications
- At least 12 years of overall IT delivery experience, including 5 years leading federal IT programs
- Minimum of 5 years in SAFe leadership roles, managing large-scale Agile planning and dependencies
- Proven experience with VA IT product line management processes and security authorizations
- Experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams of 20 or more and balancing legacy systems with modernization projects
- Strong skills in project management tools like Jira, GitHub, and ServiceNow
