Program Manager, Government

Job Summary

Leading a cross-functional team, the full-time Program Manager, Government will manage the development and operation of a public data portal for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), ensuring project delivery and stakeholder engagement in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build a collaborative team culture and run agile practices, including sprints and planning cycles
• Coordinate with CMS offices to share progress and maintain positive relationships with partner teams
• Proactively identify and mitigate risks to project delivery while ensuring compliance with contract and accessibility requirements

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience in program or project management, particularly with government contracts
• Degree in management, public administration, information technology, or a related field
• Experience with open data projects and managing cross-functional teams of 15 to 25 people
• Deep knowledge of agile product management principles and familiarity with collaboration tools like Jira and Confluence
• Ability to oversee task order management, including reporting and project planning
