Program Manager (PMP Certified)

Job Summary

Providing mid to senior level program and project management support for NOAA's National Weather Service (NWS), the full-time remote Program Manager (PMP Certified) will manage IT initiatives, ensuring alignment with federal policies and governance processes while collaborating with stakeholders to monitor and report on project performance.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver program and project management support across NWS portfolios and IT initiatives
• Develop and maintain project schedules, risk registers, and status reports while monitoring performance metrics
• Facilitate governance boards and stakeholder reviews, ensuring effective communication of project updates

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, management, IT, or a related field
• 5-8 years of experience supporting federal IT programs or projects
• PMP or equivalent project management certification
• Strong understanding of project management frameworks and best practices
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and cloud-based collaboration tools
